Wake Up As Gay Werewolf Prince [BL]

Chapter 18

In the end, Bai Chen simply kicked the man in the shin, causing him to receive another warning from the system.

{OOC ALERT! OOC ALERT!}

‘I went OOC again? But, how could that be?’ He asked for an explanation from the system.

Bai Chen was still lucky that the system didn’t immediately deduct his points and instead gave him a warning, but he still had to find an answer to his question.

{THE CHARACTER ‘BAI CHEN’ NEVER ACTED VIOLENCE AGAINST ANYONE.

POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED IF THE HOST CONTINUES TO BREAK THE RULES}

.....

The system somehow showed its mercy, but Bai Chen sighed when he realized that some things about the real Bai Chen in this world were different from him. ‘We are two different people, after all,’ he shrugged.

“What’s wrong, ChenChen? Are you tired of walking? Do you want me to carry you?”

Apart from being perverted, Zhu Ge was also the most inconsistent human that Bai Chen had ever met. Just a few seconds ago the man said that they should take a break from the role-playing and addressed him formally with ‘Your Highness,’ but as if there was a toggle switch inside the man’s brain, he suddenly changed to using ‘ChenChen’ just now.

“My stamina is also great, so you don’t have to worry about me. Let’s continue walking to the river,” as if he knew the location of the river, Bai Chen walked past Zhu Ge only to realize he didn’t know the way. “Please lead the way, gege,” he added as he tried to hide his embarrassment while glancing behind him.

He could see Zhu Ge smirking at him before walking towards him, and the two of them started walking side by side towards the river.

The path was shrouded in silence, but suddenly, Bai Chen’s sharp ears caught the sound of water. ‘Right. I’m a werewolf now, and my five senses should be sharper than humans, right?’ He had just realized it, and he was very excited as he anticipated what other surprises he would receive while in his werewolf’s body.

“We’re close to the river,” Zhu Ge announced as he didn’t think that Bai Chen could hear the sound of the water.

Bai Chen didn’t bother to explain as he simply nodded his head. He was motivated to reach the river so that he could immediately drink from the river, but he frowned when he heard the black-haired man speak again.

“The path to the river is quite extreme, but you can hold my hand if you find it very difficult to walk the path.”

“What?” Bai Chen asked in confusion.

“I’m telling the truth,” Zhu Ge replied. “We’re heading to the snow mountain now, so the elevation of this forest is higher than the river. We have to walk along a dangerous route to reach the river.”

‘I have to fight that far just to be able to drink water?’ Bai Chen grumbled inwardly, and he suddenly remembered how people living in arid areas had to struggle every day just to be able to get water.

Bai Chen realized that he was an ungrateful brat for complaining about the rough path when it was only the first day for him to do so.

“I’ll be fine on my own. Just continue walking,” Bai Chen rejected Zhu Ge’s offer in the end.

He was the Werewolf Prince, and getting help from humans would probably hurt his pride.

Hearing the rejection, Zhu Ge just shrugged as he continued walking until finally, they came to an area that seemed to be headed for a valley or something. There was indeed a valley, and there was a stream in the valley.

The man in red wasn’t lying because the path to the valley was steep and bumpy. There were different sizes of rocks, and when the two men walked down the path, they had to be extra careful.

Zhu Ge walked in front because he was the one who knew about the river, and Bai Chen could only follow the man in silence. As he continued to walk down the path, his ears could hear the sound of the water becomes clearer.

He was so eager to finally reach the river, and he didn’t notice that his foot had slipped off a boulder. He couldn’t even stop himself from screaming as he slipped off the rock. Perhaps he would have cracked his head if a pair of hands had not caught him in time.

His heart skipped a beat, and when he turned his gaze towards the person who had just caught his body, he found a pair of brown eyes staring back at his pair of blue crystals.

Bai Chen’s eyes resembled the depths of the ocean, but it was him who felt like he was drowning in a pair of brown eyes.

Realizing that he was almost lost in the twin brown discs, Bai Chen then carefully pushed the owner of the hazels before lifting his body.

He was safe and sound with no scratches on his body, but he assumed that now it was his heart that wasn’t healthy as it kept beating fast.

“Are you okay?”

The deep, familiar voice in his ears broke the silence, and Bai Chen carefully nodded his head in response to the question. He was still silent, but suddenly, his body jolted as he felt a sudden warmth envelop his cold hand.

“Just in case you slip again,” Zhu Ge spoke before continuing to walk towards the river.

Their hands clasped together now, and Bai Chen had no other choice but to follow in the man’s footsteps as their hands were connected.

He continued walking, but the strange feelings in his heart were still tickling. ‘I’m not even gay, but I felt a strange sensation in my heart when I looked at his eyes. What’s wrong with me?’
