Classless Reincarnation

Chapter 65 Group Trip To The Afterlife!

Tendrils of darkness erupted all over!

Instantly, the garden changed completely, turning into a vision of horror. As tentacles shot toward the foxes, they felt incredible dread. This thing was nightmarish!

"Woo!" (RUNNNN!)

They didn\'t hesitate, turning tail and getting the fuck out. But merely instants, afterward, they were suddenly confronted with a tentacle barrier of darkness.

The thing blocked the garden\'s exits completely!

"Trying to run? Not anymore!"

This thing was a trump card from one of the assassins. At first, he had been reluctant to use it, but he wouldn\'t leave everything to chance anymore! Not this time!

Yet, the Water Mage still appeared composed.

He kept waving his hands, water tentacles contending against the darkness tentacles that were assaulting him. Still, he was obviously on the losing hand, getting pushed back.

"Still trying to resist? How futile!" The assassin laughed.

The youngster didn\'t even bother replying. He kept fighting, even reassuringly looking at the foxes freaking out nearby. "Don\'t worry. We just need to buy time."

He had already sent an SOS to the Water Lord. They just had to survive for a little while as they waited for him to arrive— or that\'s how it was supposed to be.

"Pfft— Hehehe, how foolish!"

The assassins ridiculed. Calling for help? A waste of time! The artifact they had used was especially amazing for moments like these! It had utterly sealed the area!

The youngster\'s face turned grim.

Would he die here?! At this moment, he felt so foolish. He had hidden his power all this while, only to get caught up in something far too strong for him.

This was the price of his arrogance… but he wouldn\'t be the only one to pay it at this rate. He gave a sorrowful sigh at the innocent bystanders as he resolved himself for a last stand.

"No matter! We FIGHT!"

With a shout, he actually sent his Water tentacles on the offensive!

If he were to die, he\'d at least bring a couple of those fuckers down with him! They who dared to scheme against the Serene Water Clan had to pay the price!

At this moment, the calm flow of water turned into the violent billowing of a storm. He was going all out! CRASH! CRASH! His Water Spells kept fiercely crashing!

Yet, the assassins weren\'t worried in the least. This artifact they had used was far stronger than they were, and no one here could do anything about it!

"Worthless struggles of a dead man."

They scoffed… only to be proved right. They undeniably had the upper hand! But, just as they were reveling in their superiority, the fire foxes attacked!

In the earlier chase for the recordings, they had taken it easy. But now, they were going ALL OUT! "Woo!" (Destroy them all!!) "Woo!" (Make Master proud!) "Woo!" (1…2…3…5…6..!)

The fireballs exploded on the tentacles, turning many into darkness bits, shredding them, and turning the entire garden into an inferno!

"W-WHAT?!" The assassins exclaimed, shocked.

Since when were the foxes that strong?! Not only that, but the tentacles of darkness should have had a fear effect. They should have been like the young lady, cowering on the ground.

"WOO!" (Take this!)

After their training with Jack, they wouldn\'t be scared of a few tentacles. No, they had to show themselves worthy of serving him!

"Great! Time to kill them and—"

The youngster cried out happily, only to choke mid-sentence. While the fireball onslaught had destroyed many tentacles… they were already reforming!

It barely took a second for all the damage done earlier to disappear. They were back to square one! Actually, even worse than square one, for they had expended Mana!

"Hehe, do you understand now? No one will save you, and no amount of struggling will change anything. Why don\'t you just accept your death? There\'s no getting out of this one."

The assassins gloated, readying their daggers, Acid and Thorn magic, respectively. At this moment, they were trying to bring their target\'s morale down.

As with many darkness spells, the more the targets feared it, the stronger it would become as it fed on their despair. \'Anguish, and die!\' they inwardly chuckled.

"T-this... this can\'t be?!"

The youngster cried out in shock, the situation hopeless.

Could he get out of this alive? Definitely not. He\'d perish long before the seal was even remotely gone. If only the assassins could disappear… No, this was a dead end.

The assassins watched his mental state crumble with an amused grin. But just as they thought it was in the bag, he suddenly raised his head, a hint of madness in his eyes.

"DIE!" With a scream, he charged at them.

Had he gone insane?! What the heck was he even trying to accomplish?! It was as if he would do anything to even bite at them, no matter what happened to him.

"Haven\'t you understood? There\'s no way that—" An assassin, gloated… only for his ally to drag him backward hurriedly.

As for what happened afterward, it was so fast that even the foxes lost track of it. The youngster somehow… turned into a puddle?!

Then the puddle rushed right through all the tentacles, reappearing where the assassins had been merely instants before, his Mana turning chaotic!

"W-what?! How is he so fast?!" An assassin blurted out, shell-shocked.

"Tch— A secret movement technique. He\'s from the Serene Water Clan, after all." Another remarked, still feeling his heart beat relentlessly.

Had he not brought his allies to fall back, they would have all perished along with the youngster\'s suicidal attack: he had been ready to blow up his Mana Core!

But that insane move hadn\'t been without consequences.

Secret Movement Technique? Backlash!

Attempt at blowing himself up? Backlash!

Trying to do both at once? Backlash!

By now, their mark was defenselessly lying on the ground, coughing blood non-stop, and almost out of Mana. This would make for an easy kill or actually easy kills.

The foxes felt the assassins\' murderous glance land on them, the darkness tentacles wriggling even faster and deadlier than before.

But just as everything seemed lost, they felt a familiar presence…
