The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 195

Because the chat interface allowed one to see when the person was typing a message, Yi Chen on the other end saw everything but he assumed Zi Han was upset about the whole team list thing.

He couldn’t get his father to let this go so now he had no idea what to say to him. Thus he waited and waited but after an hour of on and off typing, Zi Han went offline.

Yi Chen’s heart felt heavy so he also started typing his own message. Just like Zi Han, he couldn’t figure out what to say. From the day he chose to be with Zi Han he wanted to protect him wholly but the one time he was meant to prove himself he failed and now Zi Han was forced to work under Evan.

That thought alone made his blood boil but since he should keep his word he could only grit his teeth and endure it. After typing for so long Yi Chen only managed to squeeze out a goodnight.

YC: Goodnight.

Zi Han who was under his quilt typing a question anonymously in a forum saw the notification and his heart skipped a beat.

He swiped down and saw that simple yet heartwarming goodnight. His palms became sweaty as he stared at that message his muscles tense.

His heart which was startled just now began to beat frantically like he was having a panic attack. His reaction had him so confused. Was he into guys? Was he really into Yi Chen? If not then why did he kiss him not once but twice? The second time he even used his tongue or at least he thought he did.

.....

Feeling like a pervert Zi Han once again screamed into his pillow letting it all out. After suffocating himself in that fluffy pillow for a while he raised his head revealing a red face like that of ripe cherries. He brushed away his hair sticking to his face and continued typing on the forum.

He knew he should respond to Yi Chen’s message but he was afraid of speaking to him right now. If Yi Chen remembered everything then why didn’t he say anything? Whether Yi Chen knew or not, Zi Han was still so embarrassed that he couldn’t bring himself to face him.

With his tongue sticking out he began to type on the forum. His question went something like:

Anonymous275: Newbie here so please be gentle with me. I sort of kissed a friend while drunk and only remembered now. Does it mean that I am into them? Urgent, waiting online.

Zi Han didn’t even have to wait for long before a series of replies followed.

CandyVicer: What was their response? Did they reciprocate?

LuminousPearly: Well, do they remember what happened?

HookupAtFirstSight: Ooho, from friends to lovers. I like. You definitely have the hots for them.

Zi Han, “???”

Anonymous274: They kissed me back. I don’t know if they remember.

Yi Chen who also happened to be on the forum trying to find out how to tell his crush that they can’t be on the same team saw this question and curiously opened it.

The question was eerily similar to his situation with Zi Han the only difference being that Zi Han didn’t remember anything. Yi Chen tried to put himself in the original poster’s shoes. If Zi Han remembered what happened that night he would love for him to say it.

Thus he immediately wrote back to the original poster;

Anonymous190: Tell them. Only when you talk about it can you move forward.

HookupAtFirstSight: You are kidding. That’s like burning a bridge before you cross it. If they didn’t remember and don’t like you then you would lose them for sure.

HookupAtFirstSight: I say take it slow and dip a toe in to test the waters. If it’s hot then don’t say anything.

Anonymous274: What Hookup said is right. Thanks.

Feeling a sense of ease Zi Han moved to close the tab when another response from

Anonymous190 appeared.

Anonymous190: What if they like you?

Zi Han read and re-read this message while biting his thumb. If Yi Chen truly liked him and remembered everything then he wouldn’t know what to do.

Was he possibly attracted to Yi Chen? Most definitely. His body’s reaction today in the locker room said everything. There was really no use in denying it.

What he needed to figure out though was if this was only towards Yi Chen or maybe he was attracted to some other guys as well. Secondly, he needed to find out if this was a fling or something because if it was then there was no point in affecting Yi Chen’s life.

While lamenting this Zi Han subconsciously typed back to Anonymous190.

Anonymous274: If he did he would tell me.

After saying that Anonymous274 went offline with the green light turning grey. Yi Chen reread that response and scratched his head a little flustered. This unanimous person was right. Despite the consequences, he should indeed tell him but how the fuck was he supposed to do that?

Zi Han on the other hand, lay flat on his bed his mind racing. The forum did give him an insight but because he hadn’t revealed every detail couldn’t get much out of it. After that, he spent hours doing quizzes online and such trying to make sense of everything. But instead of helping him, it left him with more questions than answers.

Meanwhile, another person was also having a sleepless night because of him. After that embarrassing trip to Scylla Military Academy, Ikeda Yua cancelled all her photoshoots and wallowed in her villa feeling depressed.

If she was competing with a girl she would have a higher chance to push that bitch off the throne and take it for herself but now that she knew what she was up against she felt defeated.

Unless she could grow a rod down there and shrink her boobs and ass there was no way she could get rid of the lecherous bitch. That aside she could still bring trouble to that person and make them regret ever knowing Yi Chen but unfortunately that person’s backer was ten times crazier than her own mother.

Even her father was afraid of Zi Xingxi so he wouldn’t lay a finger on her son. Having run out of options she decided to deal with her loss like any normal girl after losing out on love. She would drink it out while cursing him out with her friends until it hurt less.
